Linda Vernon has been writing humorous essays since 1989. Her work has appeared in various California newspapers including The San Jose Mercury News, The SanDiego Union Tribune and The Oakland Tribune. She was also a feature writer for the Tri City Tidings, a local magazine based in Fremont California and currently writes a column "All About Me and You. . . Well Not You" for LadybugFlights Magazine. She has the infamous distinction of being a past Grand Prize winner of the Bulwer Lytton Fiction Contest (It was a dark and stormy night . . .). Linda makes her home in the Sierra Nevada foothills with her husband of 33 years, her teenage daughter and various pets including but not limited to a Yorkshire Terrior a bevy of cats, a hamster, and a retired race horse named Sedintariat.
